William Henry Harrison Epps died June 13, 1897, aged fifty three years. He was born in east Tennessee Feb. 29, 1844. In 1861 he enlisted in the rebellion and served faithfully until its close. In 1873 he came to Indiana and was married to Miss Sarah Jane Swank, to them one son being born who is still living. She died March 18, 1876. He was married again on March 6, 1884 to Miss Eliza Francis Coolney and to them was born two children, a daughter and a son. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Shanklin, of Linden, at the residence. Interment was at Peterson Cemetery.
